早在2011年，美国宇航局就曾宣布发现了与地球差不多大的类似行星，但因为其并不处于它围绕的恒星的易居带，造成星球上温度太高而无法存在生命。2015年，根据美国宇航局发布的最新消息，在银河系以外的另一星系，发现了与地球相似度高达0.98的行星。这颗编号Kepler 425b的系外行星处于适宜的位置，为它形成大气层和流动水创造了条件。 这是一个很大的突破，一直以来，我们在寻找地球类似行星的道路上耗费了大量的资源，地球与太阳的距离不远不近，一切有利因素促使了生命的生成繁衍，只要抓住这一特点，随着科学技术的日益完善，另一个地球的发现指日可待。 因为宇宙中存在太多的星系，一些类地行星曾一度围绕它的轨道运行，这就意味着，类地行星实际上并不稀少。宇宙对我们来说太过神奇，它本身就是一个无穷无尽的谜，我们不知道它有多大，也不知道它蕴含了多少神奇的物质，也不知道它会如何前进发展，因此，另一个地球到底在何方，我们必须不停的探索。
